Help Beat COVID-19

Symptom Tracker

When you report your health status and symptoms—even if you are feeling healthy—you help our community beat COVID-19. Log on, share your symptoms, any additional medical conditions you have, and see if you need to be tested. Fight for your school, your livelihood, and your community. Enter your symptoms here every three days.

Download Contact Tracer App

The Alabama contact tracing app, developed for the Alabama Department of Public Health in partnership with Apple and Google, provides a method to trace potential exposure to COVID-19. Now you’ll know if you’ve been in close contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19. Let’s work together to safeguard our UAB community.

Key Features to Protect You and Our Community

Know When to Get Tested and When to Stay Home.

Based on your symptoms and underlying health conditions, the symptom tracker will recommend if you should schedule testing, remain at home, or are approved to report to campus. The symptom tracker will identify outbreaks and track hotspots so we can monitor the burden of disease on campus.

Close Contact with COVID-19?

We have to work together to slow the spread of COVID-19. If you have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, you will be notified. If you test positive for COVID-19, those who you have been in close contact will be notified. Your privacy is protected and everyone remains anonymous.

Why It’s Important

Help our Healthcare Heroes. Sharing your symptoms and allowing contact tracing helps identify hot spots so public health officials can better manage the spread of COVID-19. When we lessen the spread, we won’t overload our local health system with too many cases in a short period of time.

Show your Blazer Pride.

You can’t wear too much green & gold and you can’t over overreport your symptoms. Do your part to help beat COVID-19. Share your symptoms. Trace your location. Get tested. Follow instructions for care. Then come back in three days and do it all over again.
